Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some of Ceaser’s Aerial Photography & Photography’s frequently asked questions. Proudly serving central Iowa region, including Des Moines, Waukee, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Ames, and other surrounding areas.
I can deliver edited photos within 24 hours following the time of the aerial shoot.
I will share a cloud based storage url, that will give you access to view and download the images of your shoot.
No you do not, but you are welcome if you feel it will benefit the shoot in any way. If you do join do note this could delay the photo shoot due to schedules. Most of my clients communicate via email or by phone.
This will depend on the goals of the project. If we are shooting downward facing images, no effect by weather besides rain and wind. If not, would depend how you want the sky to look or other requirements of the project or end goal.
Location has a huge affect on aerial projects. Is there an airport near the desired location? If so we could possible need a FAA waiver, which could take up to 90 days. Does your real estate listing have trees covering all views form above? This would directly affect the results of the completed images that I would be able to hand over. Location has a lot to due with all aerial projects, and has to be implemented in our flight plan.
You are the client, you are setting the guidelines for my flight plan and you’re the boss, so yes!
After the first consultation, all projects should be flown in less than a week. Most real estate shoots are a 24 hr turn around, but also could be affected by weather.
Not at this time, but will be very coming soon. I apologize. You will receive an invoice via Quickbooks when the project is completed. This can currently be paid for by check made out to Ceaser’s Aerial Photography or cash. Again credit cards coming really soon, I apologize for the inconvenience.
I do not charge hourly rates. I offer a package tier structure or custom client quotes, after the project has been accessed. I cannot put a set cost due to all projects and project locations are different. As I gave in an earlier example, one house could have trees everywhere causing me to only shoot 10 images, due to blocking of object of interest such as real estate listing. I cannot charge the same at a house that is open and very photographic that I could potentially get 45-60 images. I do shoot as many as I can. I am at the project site until I am happy with my results and feel I am not taking the same photos over and over. I want that money shot as bad as you do!
My cost is by project. Travel will be accessed during project scope of the flight.
As much as I can. I love flying my drones. Never had a hobby that I wanted to pursue into a career until drones, so that says a lot in itself.
All media is copyrighted to Ceaser’s Aerial Photography. I am always willing to discuss options to give you exclusive rights, would need to be mentioned during first consultation. My goal is to make you happy, so I am willing to discuss any end intentions of the media.
This depends on the project. I can legally fly at 400 feet in most locations. My drone has the capability to take around 20 acres (camera pointing directly down, and doing a panoroma) shot from 400 feet. These photos are captured using a panoroma setting. This allows me to take multiple high-resolution pictures and stitch them together to make one large high-resolution image.
If you are not looking for a “camera pointing directly down” shot, but more of a “captured at an angle shot” the photos will have a wider “feel” as the camera will be facing the horizon. Panoroma settings can also be used for these shots.
This would depend on the project. I have to access each inquiry on case by case basis. Such as one house could have trees everywhere causing me to only shoot 10 images, due to blocking of object of interest such as real estate listing. I cannot charge the same at a house that is open and very photographic that I could potentially get 45-60 images. I do shoot as many as I can. I am at the project site until I am happy with my results and feel I am not taking the same photos over and over. I want that money shot as bad as you do!
I will provide a link to a cloud based location that will allow you to download all the media hired for. I will include all media I get while there that I deem suitable to carry the high standards of Ceaser’s Aerial Photography. To date, one Premium Package got 31 panoramas, 149 regular high-definition images, and one 1:30 minute video due to the house being very photogenic. So some projects will get a lot extra due to me wanting full satisfaction from my clients and the location being appealing in photographs and videos.
Ceaser’s Aerial Photography exclusively fly drones manufactured by DJI Enterprise. DJI is an industry leader who currently owns 70% of the drone market. All models of DJI drones used are equipped with a camera capable of shooting video in 4K resolution.
Ceaser’s Aerial Photography is committed to provided the highest quality photography possible, so everything is shot in RAW .dng format and film is MP4 or MOV format. All images will be converted to .jpg after editing, unless otherwise specified by the client.
RAW aerial footage is unedited media from a media device, such as my DJI drones. A RAW image produced by one of my DJI drones is an unedited, uncompressed photograph captured by my drones camera. This RAW photograph will contain raw image data captured by my drone’s camera’s CCD (the cmaera’s sensors). My DJI drones save these files in a .dng format. These images are amazing for professional editing within applications such as Adobe Creative Suite for utilizing in marketing assets, such as e-mails, social channel campaigns, printing marketing, digital marketing, etc.
